Officer Samantha Seay responded to Walmart in reference to a theft that occurred on Monday. After making contact with the 77-year-old victim, he said he got $100 cashback while in the store, forgot to get it, and it was gone when he came back to the self-checkout.

A review of video footage showed a female go to the same register as him after he left, pay for items with a card, and grab the cash, placing it into her wallet before leaving without attempting to turn it in to an associate or contact law enforcement.

Asset protection was able to look up the name on the card for that transaction, and Officer Seay confirmed the female’s identity as Amanda Washam.

Washam now has a warrant for theft of property.
