ROCKWOOD CAR THIEF SENDS POLICE ON CHASE

According to Rockwood Police Chief Kelly Pittman, Rockwood police arrested a female Saturday evening after she was wanted for stealing a vehicle from the area of the apartments near the Roane State College campus in Harriman.
The woman, identified as 25-year-old Sally Kay Pawlicki, sent local law enforcement on a high-speed chase into Harriman, then onto Interstate 40 then back to Patton Lane, where she ditched the car in the water near the Intersection of Hwy 70 and Patton Lane.
She allegedly jumped from the car before it entered the water and was taken into custody then. She was transported to the Roane Medical Center to be checked out before being taken on to the jail where she remains today on no bond. The Sheriff’s Dept. along with the THP also assisted and the THP is conducting the crash report.
No other cars or persons were involved.
