CROSSVILLE FIRE AND RESCUE RESPONDS TO MOCKINGBIRD DRIVE FIRE

Last night, at around 8:22 p.m., Crossville Fire and Rescue units responded to an electrical fire at a home on Mockingbird Dr.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but not before it could cause roughly $25,000 in heat, fire, and water damage to the home. Roughly one and a half rooms were affected.
Crossville Fire Chief Chris South said he believes the fire originated from a single-person stand-up sauna unit in the bathroom that caused an electrical fire.
Thankfully, there were no injuries as the house was under renovation and the occupants weren’t at home at the time. Firefighters contained the blaze within 15 minutes and stayed on scene for roughly 2 hours as a precaution.
