NEW ROCKWOOD CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS SWORN IN

BBBTV12 – The Rockwood City Council convened in a special called session at noon today to honor outgoing members and swear in newly elected representatives.

Councilmembers Mike Fuller and James Nuchols attended their final meeting. Fuller has served two terms on the council, while Nuchols stepped in as a temporary member following Peggy Evans’ resignation late last year. Both were thanked for their service and dedication to the community.

Mayor Jason Jolly administered the oath of office to three council members elected during November’s election. Among them were incumbent April Foust Wilson, former councilmember Bobby Anderson, and newcomer Paul “Coach K” Kamikawa, who will serve his first term. Family members were present to witness the ceremony.

Following the swearing-in, the council assigned members to various boards:

  • Paul Kamikawa: Appointed to the Rockwood Regional Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals.
  • April Foust Wilson: Appointed to the Library Board.
  • James Nuchols (former councilmember): Appointed to the Rockwood Water, Wastewater, and Natural Gas Systems Board.

With no additional business to address, the meeting adjourned after approximately 10 minutes.

Note: There will be no regular Rockwood City Council meeting in December due to the holidays. The next regular session is scheduled for the fourth Monday in January 2025.
