TWO ARRESTED IN TRAFFIC STOP WITH METH

On Thursday last week, Deputy Michael Winebarger observed a black Dodge sedan traveling on Highway 127 North going south with a dark window tint. A check through dispatch showed the registration to be for a silver Dodge Avenger.
Deputy Winebarger initiated a traffic stop on Old Jamestown Highway at Interstate Drive. While approaching the vehicle, he smelled a strong odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The driver identified himself as Brandon Weltman, with passenger Sonda Shock. Weltman said they had painted the vehicle black. Weltman and Shock were asked to step out of the vehicle due to the odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Both were described in the report as appearing nervous. Weltman said he had some storebought CBD in a zipper pouch on the ceiling of the car. Inside the zipper pouch was a red metal tin, and inside the tin was a green leafy substance wrapped in a brown cigarette wrapper not in a labeled package.
During the search, a green fabric Crown Royal bag was located in the front passenger side floorboard containing multiple clear plastic bags holding 2 grams of meth and a black zipper pouch with a set of scales with more clear plastic bags.
Weltman admitted to being the owner of all contents inside the green bag.
A search of Shock turned up a cut straw with a clear plastic bag rolled up inside. Inside the plastic bag was .3 grams of meth.
Weltman and Shock were transported to the CCSO Jail.
