This morning around 7:30 AM, our Alpha Patrol Shift responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into the Marathon Gas Station at 3416 Highway 411 (formerly the Old Checkered Flag Market). Officers arrived promptly, joined by Madisonville Fire and Rescue and Monroe County EMS. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.

During the investigation, it was determined that the female driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, was under the influence. The female was placed under arrest for DUI with additional charges pending. We’re grateful for the quick response of all emergency services involved.
