MINI EXCAVATOR STOLEN FROM POTTER ROAD PROPERTY (UPDATED)

Yesterday Deputy Morgan Alvarez was dispatched to Potter Road for a theft. He made contact with a man who said he rented a Bobcat E10 mini excavator with a trailer and left it on the property. It was last seen on Monday.

The deputy then spoke to a man who works for Sunbelt Rentals in Cookeville who said there was a tracker on the excavator and it was showing to be still on the property. The tracker was later found in the yard and the trailer that came with the excavator was still on the premises.

The deputy spoke with property owners on both sides, and the property owner on the right said he heard dogs barking around 1:00 a.m. He also said he had a camera but was unable to log into it. The property owner on the left also had a camera, but the camera they had does not record.

The estimated value of the mini excavator is believed to be around $30,000. No suspects have been identified, no arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed.

If you receive any information regarding this theft that exceeds $30,000.00, please contact Investigator Bo Kollros at (931) 484-6176 ext. 2009, [email protected] or Crimestoppers at (931) 200-1173.
