Rhea County Deputies conducted a welfare check on a home in the Laurel Lane area on Tuesday, only to find two gunshot victims. One female, who was found dead on the scene, and one male, who would pass away later during transit to medical services.

The Rhea County Sheriff’s Department said the investigation is ongoing but there is no immediate threat to the community.
