BURGLARY AT SEBALD CIRCLE

On March 25, 2025, Deputy Jessica McCoy responded to a possible burglary at Sebald Circle in Cumberland County, Tennessee. The caller and her boyfriend, who is the Power of Attorney and godson of the homeowner, reported the incident.
The homeowner had passed away on March 13, 2025, and the couple was assisting with his estate. The last time anyone had been to the residence was March 20, when everything was in order.
Upon arriving on March 25, they found the door unlocked and the house ransacked.
Deputies McCoy and E. Tollett observed the house in disarray, with items scattered, pry marks on the rear door, and ripped window screens. A small safe had been moved from a bedroom to the living room, and the ashes of the homeowner’s late wife were scattered on the carpet.
Missing items included an HP printer, a 55″ Sanyo television, and several tools. The Neighbors reported seeing no unfamiliar vehicles except those of the caller and her boyfriend.
No serial numbers for the stolen items were available, and there were no functioning security cameras or trail-cams capturing the residence. The security system was also inoperable. After speaking with family and neighbors, no suspects were identified. Investigator Ward #812 was notified of the incident.
