TRAFFIC STOP IN PUTNAM COUNTY LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

From Putnam County Sheriff’s Office:
On March 28, 2025, Deputy Reed performed a traffic stop on a White Chevy Silverado for failure to maintain lane. The driver, Joshua Knight, then gave Deputy Reed verbal consent to search his vehicle. The search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of suspected Methamphetamine. Joshua Knight was taken into custody for Simple Possession and transported to the Putnam County Jail.
While being booked into the Putnam County Jail, Knight’s body scan came back abnormal, suggesting that foreign objects may be hidden on or inside the body. Knight was found to be in possession of approximately 24 grams of Methamphetamine, approximately 15 grams of Fentanyl, approximately 17 grams of Cocaine, and $5,437 of currency on his person.
Joshua Knight was then also charged with 2 counts of Manufacture, Sell, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Manufacture, Sell, Delivery of Methamphetamine, Fabricating Tampering with Evidence, and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility. Knight has a total bond of $237,500 and a court dateof May 5, 2025.
