ALCOA MAN INDICTED FOR AIDING MAN WHO KILLED BLOUNT DEPUTY

Maurice D. Warren, 47, of Alcoa, was indicted for aiding Kenneth W. DeHart, who is alleged to have murdered Blount County Deputy Greg McCowan and wounded Deputy Shelby Eggers in February 2024.
Warren is accused of buying two cell phones and SIM cards to help DeHart avoid arrest after the shootings.
DeHart, is currently awaiting trial for murder, and faces the death penalty. Warren, after admitting to assisting DeHart, now faces charges for hindering his arrest.
