METH, XANAX, HEROIN, AND MORE FOUND IN TRAFFIC STOP ARREST

On April 29, 2025, Deputy K-9 Steven Richardson of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a white Honda Civic on Interstate 40 in Crossville, TN, after observing suspicious driving behavior. The vehicle, driven by Chris Goodman with passenger Davon Florey, fled, leading to a 6-mile pursuit ending at mile marker 317 with the use of spike strips. A search of the vehicle revealed:
  • 54 grams of suspected marijuana
  • 14 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • 1 gram of suspected heroin
  • 7 Xanax pills
  • 3.04 pounds of suspected methamphetamine in vacuum-sealed bags
  • $462 in U.S. currency
Both Goodman and Florey were arrested and charged with multiple drug-related offenses, including possession, manufacturing, and selling controlled substances, with additional charges for Goodman related to evading arrest and driving violations. The evidence was seized, and the suspected drugs were sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for analysis. The vehicle was towed, and both suspects were transported to Cumberland County Jail.
