SEVERAL VIDEO GAME SYSTEMS AND MORE STOLEN FROM HOME ON HYDER LOOP

On May 18, 2025, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a theft report at a residence on Hyder Loop in Crossville. The incident, classified as theft from a building, occurred between 9:37 PM and 9:50 PM.
The reporting officer, Deputy Zachary Early, met with the residents who said that they had allowed a 20-year-old relative to stay with them for two months, during which they noticed multiple items missing.
The relative had previously admitted to taking some items. On the day of the report, the residents discovered missing video games, cases, and controllers for PS2, PS3, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, along with AirPods, a gaming headset, a Craftsman drill set, a silver necklace, and a Nintendo 3DS XL, with a total estimated value of $944.98.
A friend of the suspect indicated he frequently visited Game Exchange in Crossville after moving out. The case remains active with no arrests or recoveries as of May 19, 2025.
