$906,542 IN BIDS AWARDED AT LAST MONTH’S COUNTY FINANCIAL MEETING

During last month’s Cumberland County financial management committee meeting, several bids were approved for various projects, as reported by the Crossville Chronicle’s Gary Nelson.
The approved bids include $723,260 to Tri-State Roofing for Brown Elementary’s roof, $25,000 to Lose Design for Community Complex upgrades, City Tele Coin for a new jail phone system, and $113,000 to Chapman Landscape for Stone Memorial High School’s football field.
Highway Department contracts went to Collier Engineering for a road study, Ben Lomand for WiFi ($45,282.85), Cargill for de-icing salt ($130/ton), Volunteer Highway Supply for striping, Win Supply for piping, Rogers Group for paving and crushed stone ($25.50/ton), Cumberland Guardrail for guardrails, and Hudson Materials for asphalt.
All were unanimously approved.
