CROSSVILLE SWAT CALLED TO ARREST BARRICADED MAN

On June 29, 2025, officers attempted to arrest Mr. Randy Tolle at his residence due to an active warrant from Sevier County. Tolle refused to exit, barricading himself inside, prompting officers to set up a perimeter and request assistance from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
Despite repeated commands via PA system, Tolle did not comply, leading to the activation of the Crossville Police Department SWAT team. At 14:09, Tolle surrendered, exiting into the garage where he was arrested. A protective sweep of the residence followed, during which an aggressive dog was subdued with OC spray and a less-lethal shotgun round after attempting to bite officers.
The dog sustained no major injuries. Tolle was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center, where he was served with the Sevier County warrant and an additional warrant for resisting arrest.
