On July 6, 2025, police responded to a reported theft at a residence on Iris Circle. The victim, a man recently released from Roane County Jail, discovered that all his clothing and shoes, valued at approximately $5,200, were missing upon returning home around 1:30 AM. The stolen items included various American Eagle and Hollister clothes and Nike Air Max shoes.

The victim suspected an acquaintance who frequently stayed at his house and was aware of an unlocked window used for entry. He believed this individual was responsible because a Citgo employee reportedly saw the suspect wearing clothes resembling the victim’s, noting that the suspect typically wore worn-out clothing.

The victim was unable to provide an exact count of stolen items but mentioned a neighbor’s security footage might offer clues.
