LAKE COUNTY KILLINGS SUSPECT IDENTIFIED; WARRANTS ISSUED

In a tragic series of events in northwest Tennessee, authorities are searching for 28-year-old Austin Robert Drummond, who is wanted in connection with the murders of four relatives of a 7-month-old baby girl found abandoned in sweltering heat on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. The victims, identified as James M. Wilson, 21; Adrianna Williams, 20; Cortney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams, 15, were found dead in Tiptonville, Lake County, hours after the baby, Wilson’s and Williams’ daughter, was discovered in a car seat in a random front yard near Tigrett, Dyer County, approximately 40 miles away.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued warrants for Drummond, charging him with four counts of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and multiple firearm-related offenses, noting he is considered armed and dangerous. A $2,500 reward is offered for information leading to his arrest. While the motive for the killings and the reason for the baby’s abandonment remain unclear, authorities believe Drummond knew the victims, who were all from Dyer County.

The investigation, involving nearly a dozen agencies, continues as the community mourns, with the baby’s discovery in 116-degree heat index conditions prompting a swift response from the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office.
