MAN ARRESTED AFTER STEALING GOODS FROM WALMART

On July 30, 2025, at 2:02 PM, City Units were dispatched to Walmart at 168 Obed Plaza regarding a shoplifting incident. Officer Steven McNeal contacted the Asset Protection Manager who reported that a male suspect, dressed in all black, was seen stuffing a black backpack with merchandise from the sporting goods aisle before moving to the stationary aisle.
By 2:36 PM, the suspect, identified as Jesse Dukes, passed all points of sale with a cart containing $1,199.74 worth of stolen goods. Dukes was apprehended, and all items were returned to Walmart. Sgt. Samantha Seay transported Dukes to the Cumberland County Justice Center.
Officer McNeal issued and served Dukes with a warrant for Theft of Property.
