CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT AT 6 P.M.

The City of Crossville, Tennessee, will hold a City Council meeting on August 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 392 North Main Street, preceded by a Beer Board meeting at 5:45 p.m. to discuss applications for Rumors Bar and Grill and Las Margaritas LLC. The regular meeting, led by Mayor R.J. Crawford, Mayor Pro-tem Art Gernt, and council members Mike Turner, Mark A. Fox, and James Mayberry, will include proclamations, public comments, appointments, and a Chamber of Commerce report.
The consent agenda features several ordinances: third reading for abandoning a portion of Livingston Road, second readings for amending the Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax and fines/penalties, and first readings for abandoning part of Shepherd’s Way and amending design criteria.
Additional consent items include approving meeting minutes, grant applications (Tourism Enhancement, SWIG, Downtown Improvement, LPRF), a codification resolution, condemnation and opioid settlement resolutions, a certificate of compliance for Weigel’s #124, a temporary street closure for the Christmas Parade, vendor contracts for the Fly In event, a change order for a project, a contract for environmental consulting for Meadow Park Lake expansion, and an amendment for engineering services for the Downtown Sidewalk Project.
Bids and purchases involve an engineering study for the Dunbar Road sewer line, banking services, and a water treatment plant utility tractor. Other business includes approving engineering services for the LPRF grant, followed by reports from the City Attorney and City Manager, before adjournment.
