FIRST RESPONDERS MOURN BRYSON TRENTHAM

BBBTV12 – ROCKWOOD, Tenn. — An emotional tribute took place Friday afternoon as fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and emergency responders from across the region joined together to honor fallen Blair Volunteer Fire Department member Bryson Trentham, 21.

Truck after truck rolled out of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood as part of a large funeral procession to New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, east of Rockwood. More than 100 vehicles — including fire apparatus, law enforcement units, and private cars — escorted Trentham to his final resting place, where firefighter honors were rendered and the ceremonial “last call” was issued in his memory.

Trentham succumbed to his injuries earlier last week following a crash on Thursday, July 31, at the intersection of Blair Road and Old Harriman Highway. He was critically injured when his vehicle collided with a cement truck and was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he passed away several days later.

The Blair Volunteer Fire Department continues to ask the community to keep Trentham’s family and fellow firefighters in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
