KNOXVILLE MAN ACCIDENTALLY HOOKS WW2 ERA GRENADE

On Wednesday, a fisherman in Knoxville, Tennessee, accidentally hooked a World War II-era explosive device while fishing near the Sequoyah Hills boat ramp off Cherokee Boulevard, according to the Knoxville Police Department (KPD).
The object, located approximately 20 feet from the embankment, was identified as a weathered explosive device from the World War II era. KPD officers and Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) personnel responded to the scene, carefully evaluated the device, and safely transported it to U.S. Army personnel in Cookeville, Tennessee, for further handling.
