On Wednesday evening around 9:00 p.m., a two-car collision occurred on North Kentucky Street near the Rocky Top and the new Cookout restaurant in Kingston, prompting a response from Kingston police, fire, and ambulance services.

According to a Kingston Police Department report, 18-year-old Blake R. Prickett from Kingston, driving a black 2010 Ford Edge, attempted to turn left from Franklin Street onto North Kentucky Street and collided with a maroon 2006 Dodge R15 driven by 35-year-old Brittany M. Collins from Oak Ridge, who was traveling north on North Kentucky Street.

The report stated that Prickett failed to yield the right of way, resulting in the crash, and he was charged with failure to yield. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but lane restrictions were in place during the investigation and vehicle removal.
