CROSSVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED FOR OAK GROVE STREET ARSON

On August 27, 2025, Officer Jessie Henson responded to a report of a female starting a fire at Oak Grove Street. Upon arrival, he observed Ms. Allison Parson standing next to a burning couch in the yard and a small wooden table with a lamp on fire against the residence at Oak Grove Street.

Officer Henson used a fire extinguisher to control the flames until the City Fire Department arrived to fully extinguish both fires. After reading Ms. Parson her Miranda rights, she admitted to intentionally starting the fires to commit arson, though she claimed she only intended to burn the residence “halfway down” and was unaware that others lived in the connected apartment complex.

When Ms. Parson attempted to touch Officer Henson twice, he and PTL Colten Johns placed her in handcuffs and escorted her to the patrol vehicle. Officer Henson noted damage to the residence, including black marks on the brick exterior and rain gutters.

City units contacted other residents and the manager of the Crossville Housing Authority, who confirmed she wanted to press charges. Officer Henson transported Ms. Parson to the Cumberland County Justice Center, where she was served warrants for arson, reckless endangerment, and reckless burning.
