Shirley Ann Cox, age 79, of Oliver Springs, TN, passed away peacefully at home on September 10, 2025. Shirley was born in Oliver Springs, TN, on August 30, 1946, to Ben and Mae Turnbill. Shirley enjoyed fishing, riding on four-wheelers, gardening, and spending time with her family. Shirley spent many years working at Mapco as the store manager.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Roger Cox; Daughters Mary (Ray) Viar, Linda Young; Brother, Roy (Diane) Turnbill; and Sister, Sue Fritts. Grandchildren, Alicia Carroll, Jason Carroll, Kasie Seeber; Great-granddaughter, Melina Carroll. Sister-in-law, Denise Leath. Along with a host of loved nieces and nephews.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Mae Turnbill; Brothers, Ray Turnbill, Gene Turnbill, Tommy (Glenda) Turnbill, Leon (Mary) Turnbill; and Sister, Joann Shooster; granddaughter Haley Marie Seeber, Niece, Lisa Johnson; Mother and Father-in-Law, Albert and Ina Cox; Brother-in-law, Ralph Cox; and Sister-in-laws, Rozella Thacker and Diane Hall.

The family would like to send a special thank you to two amazing nurses, Lesley and Scott, and all the PCM nurses and staff. As well as the wonderful nurses, Lauren and Ann Marie from Amedisys Hospice Care.

The family will be having a graveside service held at Anderson Memorial Gardens on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Garvin Walls officiating. Condolences for the family can be left at Sharpfuneralhome.com.
