Local 3 News reports that a young female student at Benton Elementary School in Polk County was suspended after administrators reported that she had threatened to bring a gun to campus near the end of the school day on Monday.

According to Director of Schools Dr. James Jones, the student is considered “very young,” and he emphasized that there was no actual danger to students or staff. The incident is currently under investigation.
