BRIDGE REPAIR ON FRIDAY IN ROANE COUNTY WILL IMPACT TRAFFIC ON I-40

Motorists traveling on I-40 West in Roane County should be aware of upcoming bridge repair activities that will have an impact on traffic.
Beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 26, I-40 West will be reduced to one lane at Exit 355 in Roane County to allow for repairs to the Lawnville Road bridge, which spans over the interstate. This lane closure will be in place 24/7. Motorists on I-40 East in this area will not be affected.
All bridge repair work is expected to be complete on or before 6 a.m. on Monday, September 29.
This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
