Motorists traveling on I-40 in Loudon County should be aware of upcoming bridge repair activities that will have an impact on traffic.

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 26, I-40 will be reduced to one lane in each direction at MM 363 in Loudon County to allow for repairs to the bridge that spans over Paw Paw Plains Road.  This bridge repair work is taking place approximately one mile from Exit 364 (Lenoir City/US 321).

These lane closures will be in place 24/7.  All bridge repair work is expected to be complete on or before 6 a.m. on Monday, September 29.

Motorists should be aware that I-40 will also have lane closures in place for bridge repair work in this area beginning on Friday night, October 3, through Monday morning, October 6.

This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions.  Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
