CROSSVILLE COUNCIL TO HOLD SPECIAL MEETING AND WORK SESSION ADDRESSING E.M.S.

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the Crossville City Council will hold a special-called meeting at 5 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, followed by a work session focused on the city-owned ambulance service.
During the special meeting, the council may rescind or modify their September decision to establish a city-operated EMS service.
According to the Crossville Chronicle, the work session will feature discussions led by Finance Director Nathan Clouse and Mayor RJ Crawford on the city’s budget adjustments needed to support fire-based EMS, updated ambulance costs, and a resolution for reimbursing EMS expenses through bond funds. Local experts, including 911 Director Eric Ritzman, Cumberland County EMS Director Chris Miller, and consultant Brian Tompkins, will address E-911 operations, dispatch, call time reviews, and the relationship between city fire and county EMS.
Mayor Crawford will discuss ties with Cumberland Medical Center, while Councilman Mark Fox will cover billing services, EMS consultant support, the medical director role, and Tennessee ambulance service licensing.
Additional agenda items include financing for fire stations, a military museum presentation, and various contracts and grants. The meeting is open to the public.
