ADULT AND TWO CHILDREN INJURED IN WRECK NEAR KINGSTON
Kingston Fire Chief Willie Gordon reported a two-vehicle accident on the interstate at mile marker 352 in Kingston yesterday, injuring one adult and two children. The collision involved a van carrying seven people and a tractor-trailer hauling a wide load just beyond the Kingston exit.
A mother and three other children in the van were unharmed, but the father and two children sustained injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident. Traffic was reduced to one lane for about an hour around 1:00 p.m. for the investigation and vehicle removal.
A separate three-vehicle crash occurred just before 4:00 p.m. yesterday as well, but with no injuries reported.
