METH ARREST AT ROCKWOOD GAS STATION

From the Rockwood Police Department:
On October 9th, Officer Lee and Sgt Campbell was flagged down about a suspicious vehicle parked at Big E’s. The passerby said the male was smoking out of a glass pipe. The driver appeared to conceal something as officers approached. After requests, the male exited the vehicle and disclosed he was carrying a firearm, which was safely retrieved.
K-9 Officer Haubrich responded, and his partner alerted to the vehicle. A search revealed the following:
• A black case under the driver’s seat containing two clear glass pipes with residue
• A cigarette pack in the driver’s shorts pocket containing:• Two plastic bags with white powder residue
• Two plastic bags with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine• One bag weighed approximately 3.42 grams
• The other weighed approximately 4.88 grams.
The male was taken into custody and the dangerous drugs seized, removing them from the streets of Rockwood.
