KNOX COUNTY MAN FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES AFTER CRASHING CAR INTO HOUSE

In Powell, Tennessee, 18-year-old Jayden Michael Ingersoll faces multiple charges after crashing his car into a house on Monday night while driving at approximately 100 mph on Meredith Road, far exceeding the 30 mph speed limit.
Court records indicate that Ingersoll, who admitted to frequently speeding on this route, ignored pleas from his passengers to slow down before the vehicle veered off the road, clipped a tree, and struck the residence with its speedometer frozen at 60 mph.
He has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment with a vehicle, and vandalism valued between $60,000 and $250,000, and is scheduled for a court appearance on October 20.
Responders from Rural Metro expressed astonishment that Ingersoll sustained only minor injuries in the high-impact collision.
