CROSSVILLE POLICE AND FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO COOK ROAD ARSON
On October 15, 2025, City Units responded to a structure fire at Cook Road, where Officer Jessie Henson observed the residence fully engulfed in flames upon arrival. He moved his patrol vehicle to clear the way for City Fire Units.
Officer Henson attempted to contact the neighboring residence but was initially unsuccessful. The owner of the neighboring property arrived on scene while firefighters were working to extinguish the fire.
During their conversation, the owner disclosed that they also owned the abandoned property at Cook Road and had anticipated an incident like this.
They mentioned multiple occasions of finding homeless individuals staying in the abandoned residence and noted detecting the smell of an accelerant inside the property about two weeks before the fire.
