NORRIS CITY COUNCIL MEMBER WILL GRINDER RESIGNS
BBBTV12 – Norris, TN (October 23, 2025) — Norris City Councilman Will Grinder has resigned from his seat, effective immediately.
Grinder, who was serving his third consecutive term, was first elected in 2020 on a groundswell of community support, earning the highest number of votes among five council members that year. A licensed building contractor and small business owner since 1991, Grinder has often brought a practical, business-minded approach to city issues and decision-making.
In a brief statement, Grinder said, “It has been an honor to serve the community, and I appreciate the opportunity to have contributed during my time on the council.”
According to city officials, if the council follows precedent, the remaining members will appoint a Norris resident to fill the remainder of Grinder’s term, which runs through December 2026.
