From Roane County Government:

There will be public hearing of the Roane County Commission, Monday, November 10, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. at the Roane County Courthouse, Qualls Commission Room, 200 East Race, St, Kingston, TN.

Said meeting will be for the purpose of amending the Roane County Regional Zoning Resolution to establishing Flood Damage Prevention Regulations. Said resolution will amend the Roane County Regional Zoning Resolution by adopting updated flood damage prevention provisions in order to protect life, property, and public infrastructure from flood hazards. The resolution establishes standards for development within flood hazard areas, ensures compliance with federal requirements of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), and maintains Roane County’s eligibility for participation in the NFIP.

The regular scheduled November meeting will immediately follow with a vote on amending the Roane County Regional Zoning resolution.
