QUARTER-POUND OF METH, POUND OF MARIJUANA SEIZED IN CLARKRANGE ARREST

FENTRESS COUNTY, TN — The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents successfully concluded a four-day investigation that resulted in the arrest of Leonard Thomas Norris and in the seizure of a very substantial quantity of illegal drugs, cash, and paraphernalia from his residence in the Clarkrange community.
Between Thursday, November 6, 2025, and Sunday, November 9, 2025, Narcotics Agents Kris Lewallen and Gage Willis led an investigation that resulted in the execution of a search warrant on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Norris’s residence located at 945 Norris Road, Clarkrange, Tennessee.
During the four-day operation, investigators seized over one-quarter pound of Methamphetamine that was packaged for resale, approximately one pound of Marijuana shake and buds, approx. 7.2 grams of Cocaine, and a variety of other pharmaceutical narcotics, including Hydrocodone, Percocet, Xanax, and Subutex.
Investigators also seized $8,243 in U.S. currency, which included $1,000 in marked investigative funds used in the operation. Officers recovered multiple items consistent with narcotics distribution, including digital scales, small plastic baggies, packaging materials, syringes, and a small marijuana grow setup with grow lights and live Marijuana plants. Additional items recovered included firearms accessories, surveillance equipment, and a police scanner.
The investigation revealed a distribution operation supplying methamphetamine and other narcotics within Fentress County. Norris was taken into custody following the search and the evidence collected will be forwarded for criminal prosecution.
Assisting the Narcotics Agents with the investigation and the search warrant execution were Chief Deputy Hunter Fowler, K-9 Officer Justin Cunningham, Deputy Byron Sexton, Deputy Chris Goodman.
“This operation shut down a major source of meth entering our community,” said Chief Deputy Hunter Fowler. Our new Narcotics Team will continue working relentlessly to save lives by removing these dangerous drugs from our community and ensuring those who profit from their sale are held fully accountable for the harm they cause.
