NO INJURIES IN FRIDAY’S I-40 CRASH IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
On November 7, 2025, at approximately 7:21 p.m., a 2013 Nissan Maxima driven by 32-year-old Alvarez Ruiz of Tennessee was traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 near mile marker 322 in Cumberland County when it veered off the roadway.
The vehicle crossed the right-side fog line, left the pavement, traveled down an embankment, and came to rest in a ditch along the right shoulder, still facing east.
Ruiz, who was wearing a seat belt, was uninjured; no passengers were reported in the vehicle. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation, and no other vehicles were involved in the single-vehicle crash.
