SPRING CITY MAN ARRESTED IN ROCKWOOD FOR SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY VIOLATION
Following up on last week’s story, in Rockwood, Tennessee, last Thursday just before 4:00 p.m., Officer Blum of the Rockwood Police Department pulled over a vehicle on South Gateway Avenue for lacking tag registration.
The driver, identified as Donald H. Barnes from Spring City, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. A subsequent NCIC check revealed that Barnes had failed to register as a sex offender, leading to his arrest and booking into the Roane County Jail, where he remains as of Monday afternoon.
Barnes reportedly explained that the vehicle had no tag because he had purchased it only a couple of hours earlier. This incident follows up on a story initially reported in Friday’s news by 3B Media News.
