The Sheriff’s Office has received calls of another telephone scam.

Someone is calling family members of inmates incarcerated in the county jail and claiming to be a jail deputy. The caller then solicits money for a bond for the inmate to be released.

Jail staff will not call anyone for this purpose. Anyone that receives a similar call should hang up immediately.
