NASHVILLE DELIVERY DRIVER ATTEMPTS HOMICIDE AND THEN KEEPS DELIVERING

On November 12 in Nashville, Tennessee, near Harding Place and Humber Drive, a package delivery driver, 33-year-old Lacole Douglas, got into an argument with another driver while their vehicles were traveling side by side.
According to the victim, Douglas, who was driving a Budget box truck, pulled out a gun and fired two shots toward his car, causing damage to both the driver and passenger doors. A witness to the shooting followed the delivery truck and alerted police to its location on South Perimeter Park Drive, where officers found Douglas continuing to deliver packages.
Douglas admitted to firing the shots but claimed self-defense, stating she believed the victim was reaching for a weapon. Police recovered bullet casings inside the truck and arrested Douglas, charging her with attempted criminal homicide, vandalism, and felony possession of a firearm, noting that the rounds narrowly missed the victim.
She is being held on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on November 14.
