The Cookeville Police Department is currently looking for Derrick J Brown. Brown is 40 years old, 6’2″, and approximately 180lbs. We hold active arrest warrants on Brown for two counts of aggravated assault and felon in possession of a weapon relating to a shooting that occurred at Waffle House in the early morning hours of November 18, 2025.

If you see Brown, do not approach, call 911. He is considered armed and dangerous.
