CROSSVILLE MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO STEALING TRUCK FROM CONSTRUCTION SITE
According to a report by the Crossville Chronicle, Shawn Marlon Crandell, a 42-year-old Crossville man, pleaded guilty last week in Cumberland County Criminal Court to stealing a 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck from a local construction company on October 15. By entering a guilty plea by information, he waived his right to have the case presented to a grand jury.
Crandell was sentenced to six years in prison to serve at 30% as a Range 1 offender, with fines and court costs waived but ordered to pay $4,472 in restitution at $50 per month. He received credit for 27 days already served and has remained in jail since his arrest a week after the theft. Crandell was one of six defendants who entered guilty pleas during that court session.
