DOORDASHER’S CAR STOLEN BY PASSENGER

On November 28, 2025, at approximately 9:50 PM, Crossville police responded to a reported vehicle theft at a Dollar General Market. The owner told officers he had been DoorDashing with Jennifer Anderson and left her alone in his running vehicle while he went inside to buy a phone charger, without giving her permission to drive it.

When he returned, the vehicle was gone. A BOLO was issued, and minutes later at approximately 10:02 PM, Sgt. Massey located the vehicle and a high-risk stop was conducted. The driver was identified as Jennifer Anderson. After being Mirandized, Anderson initially claimed she took the car to buy dog food and a phone charger.

The owner was reunited with his undamaged vehicle, which he valued at $800. During later questioning at the jail, Anderson admitted she took the vehicle to purchase drugs because she was dope-sick. She was arrested and booked into the county jail without incident.
