DAUGHTER OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS FOR CHILD ABUSE
Sarah Fuson, daughter of Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on December 11, 2025, in a Dickson County court for aggravated child abuse and child abuse convictions. The case stemmed from surveillance videos captured in January 2023 at Tylertown Learning Center, where Fuson, then an employee, was shown repeatedly slamming a 13-month-old child onto a cot. Medical testimony highlighted bruises on the child’s arms and CT scan findings suggesting possible skull fracture or concussion. During trial, Fuson described the actions as appearing “a little rough” but claimed they were not intentional. The judge noted a lack of remorse and accountability from Fuson until her sentencing statement, and no further details were released immediately following the proceedings.
