ROANE FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO HARRIMAN STRUCTURE FIRE
On the morning of December 30, 2025, a significant structure fire broke out on Martin Hollow Road in Harriman, Tennessee, involving an abandoned mobile home that had already collapsed by the time responders arrived, hundreds (estimated 500-600) of vehicle tires, and a large construction debris pile containing shingles, furniture, and other materials.
The blaze spread across approximately one acre. Multiple agencies, including the Roane County Office of Emergency Services & Homeland Security, Midtown 1st District Volunteer Fire Department, Blair Volunteer Fire Department, South Roane County Volunteer Fire Department, and the Tennessee Department of Forestry, collaborated effectively to contain the fire and prevent further spread, with the Forestry Department using a bulldozer to create a containment line.
The South Roane County Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Co Media praised the coordinated teamwork and expressed gratitude to photographers Benny Braden and Rescue Co Media for documenting the intense scene.
