ROCKWOOD FIRE DEPARTMENT KICKS OFF 2026 ANNUAL IN-SERVICE TRAINING
Yesterday, the Rockwood Fire Department began its Annual In-Service training for 2026, a mandatory program required by the Tennessee Fire Commission. This ongoing training equips firefighters with the latest techniques, information, and emerging trends in the fire service to help them maintain peak performance in their roles.
The first session focused on Firefighter Mental Wellness, emphasizing that firefighters are human too and must prioritize looking out for one another’s mental health to ensure they are at their best when responding to emergencies. The class was presented by the Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy, and the department expressed appreciation for their efforts in delivering this important instruction.
As their post on Facebook states, “Training today for tomorrow’s emergencies!”
