Motorists traveling on Cusick Road in Blount County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have a temporary impact on traffic.

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, Cusick Road will be closed from north of North Gate Road to south of Northpark Boulevard/Tarbett Road for the installation of new utilities. Motorists will be detoured around the work zone via North Wright Road and Northpark Boulevard, Alcoa Highway (SR 115/US 129), Pellissippi Parkway (SR 162), and Hunt Road (SR 335).

This road closure is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. that same day and will remain in place until all work is complete.

This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions.  Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
