ROANE ACADEMY TEEN ESCAPES FROM MEDICAL VISIT IN KINGSTON; QUICKLY CAPTURED BY POLICE
Earlier today, a 17-year-old teenager from Roane Academy—a residential facility that houses troubled teens in the Roane County Industrial Park in Rockwood—escaped during a visit to a medical facility in Kingston.
According to Captain Tony Guy with the Kingston Police Department, the teen was at the Exact Care location in Kingston, accompanied by academy staff, when he ran off.
He was later apprehended on nearby Spring Street.
Kingston officers, accompanied by Roane Academy staff, then transported him to Roane Medical Center.
