HOTLY ANTICIPATED NEW RESIDENT EVIL TITLE TO RELEASE ON FRIDAY; RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM
The hotly anticipated Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth main installment in the iconic Resident Evil survival horror series is set to launch this Friday on February 27, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and even the Nintendo Switch 2.
This multi-platform approach extends to two earlier titles in the franchise, with Resident Evil 7 biohazard and Resident Evil Village also scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on the same date.
Developed using Capcom’s proprietary RE ENGINE, Requiem builds on the company’s extensive experience creating acclaimed games, and it already received significant recognition by winning four awards at the Gamescom Awards 2025 in Germany prior to its release. By bringing this latest entry to the Nintendo Switch 2 alongside other platforms, Capcom aims to broaden its audience and strengthen its multi-platform strategy while continuing to deliver engaging, high-quality gameplay experiences that meet fan expectations.
