DURABLE PRODUCTS ANNOUNCES $27.3 MILLION EXPANSION AND 134 NEW JOBS IN CROSSVILLE
Durable Products, a subsidiary of Texas-based GreenLiner, LLC, and a long-established manufacturer in Crossville, Tennessee since 1982, announced an expansion project involving the renovation and retrofitting of one of its existing facilities in Cumberland County. The initiative includes a $27.3 million investment to upgrade operations with new machinery, warehousing, inventory space, and offices, enabling the company to enhance its diverse manufacturing capabilities such as compression molding, rubber extrusions, die cutting, and raw material processing. This expansion is expected to create 134 new jobs in the local area.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee highlighted the announcement as evidence of the state’s commitment to supporting rural communities, noting that the job creation will be transformative for Cumberland County. Deputy Governor and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter emphasized the competitive nature of the project and praised Tennessee’s business-friendly environment and workforce readiness, expressing confidence in the lasting positive impact on the Upper Cumberland region.
J. Pearson, CEO of Durable Products, expressed excitement about the company’s growth in Tennessee, crediting the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) and local and state officials for their support in choosing to expand there after originally being based in Texas. State Senator Paul Bailey described the project as another demonstration of Tennessee’s strength in attracting high-quality manufacturing investments that bolster local economies and provide opportunities for families. House Speaker Cameron Sexton welcomed the news as a continuation of Durable Products’ over four-decade role in the local economy, thanking the company for its ongoing commitment and investment in the community.
