CUMBERLAND COUNTY REGISTER OF DEEDS ANNOUNCES TEXT MESSAGE ALERTS VIA MYLANDALERT
Trey Kerley of the Cumberland County Register of Deeds office in Tennessee has announced that text message alerts are now live through the MyLandAlert system, making it the first county in the state to offer this feature via their software vendor.
This service, part of the Property Fraud Alert or land recording notification program, allows users to receive timely text notifications related to property recordings or potential fraud alerts. To enable it, users should log into their MyLandAlert profile, click “Profile” in the upper right corner, select “Edit Profile,” enter their phone number, and update the profile.
A confirmation text message will then be sent to verify the number. The office encourages anyone needing help to contact them for assistance. This enhancement provides an additional convenient way for property owners to stay informed about changes or documents affecting their real estate records.
